The Faculty of Al-Alsun Organizes Awareness Seminar on Occupational Safety and Health

On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, the Faculty of Al-Alsun organized an educational and awareness-raising seminar titled:
"The Importance of Occupational Safety and Health and Its Role in Protecting and Saving Lives within Educational Institutions,"
in celebration of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work.

The seminar addressed several vital topics, including raising awareness about the role of occupational safety and health in risk prevention, and educating attendees on how to respond effectively to fires and natural disasters such as earthquakes. It also emphasized the correct procedures for surviving such incidents, with the ultimate goal of fostering a safe environment within educational institutions.

The seminar was led by:
• Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ishaq Farag – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun for Environmental Affairs and Community Service
• Dr. Khaled Abdellah – Director of the Crisis and Disaster Management Unit

The seminar witnessed strong engagement from the attendees and stressed the importance of promoting a culture of safety and prevention. It also emphasized instilling proper emergency response behaviors to protect lives and ensure a secure educational environment
