As part of the Department of English Language activities for the academic year 2025/2026, the department organized a workshop on Monday, October 13, entitled “Public Speaking and Effective Presentation Skills.”

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Lamies El-Gafi, Assistant Professor at the Department of English, in coordination with Ms. Maryam Fayeq, Teaching Assistant at the department. The session aimed to enhance students’ communication and presentation skills, introducing them to the fundamentals of effective speaking and confident public performance.

The workshop covered several key themes, including the importance of public speaking in building self-confidence and improving communication, strategies for overcoming stage fright, methods for content preparation, audience analysis, and the use of body language to strengthen presence and influence.

At the conclusion of the event, Prof. Marwa El-Sherie, Dean of the Faculty, extended her appreciation to Dr. Lamies El-Gafi and the participating students, commending the department’s efforts in developing students’ skills and fostering an engaging learning environment within the faculty.
